Appeal Mechanism

If you believe your verification report is inaccurate or unfair, you have the right to file a formal appeal. This page explains the process, eligibility, and possible outcomes.

Effective Date March 22, 2026

Review Timeline 30 Business Days

1 Overview

The appeal mechanism is a formal process separate from the Trader Response Framework. While the response framework allows traders to submit initial evidence and request a review, the appeal mechanism is designed for cases where a trader has already gone through the response process and remains dissatisfied with the outcome, or where significant new evidence has emerged.

Appeals are reviewed by a senior panel independent from the original investigation team to ensure impartiality.

2 Eligibility Criteria

To file a formal appeal, you must meet at least one of the following criteria:

Appeals that do not meet any of the above criteria, or that merely restate arguments already considered during the response process without new evidence, may be declined without full review.

3 Appeal Submission

You may submit your appeal using the form below or by emailing appeals@isyourtraderreal.com directly. Your submission must include:

The URL of your profile on IsYourTraderReal, or just the slug (the last part of the URL).

Accepted formats: PDF, JPG, PNG, DOC, DOCX, XLS, XLSX. Maximum 25 MB per file, up to 10 files.

4 Review Timeline

The appeal review process follows a structured timeline to ensure thoroughness and fairness:

5 Possible Outcomes

An appeal can result in one of three outcomes:

Upheld

The original verdict is maintained. The appeal panel found no grounds to change the findings based on the evidence presented. The detailed reasoning will be provided in writing.

Partial Revision

Some findings are updated but the overall verdict category remains or is adjusted. Specific sections of the report may be modified, added, or removed based on new evidence.

Overturned

The original verdict is reversed. The trader's profile is updated to reflect the new findings. This occurs when evidence conclusively demonstrates the original verdict was incorrect.

The decision of the appeal panel is final within our internal process. If you remain dissatisfied, you may pursue external resolution through the Dispute Resolution Process.
